• Introduce the central concepts used in understanding unconscious processes in couple interaction
• Offer a framework for understanding conscious and unconscious communication in couples that is grounded in theory, clinical case examples and seminar discussion
• Enable you to begin to make use of psychodynamic concepts in formulating and understanding the relationship aspect of your work with couples or individuals
• Give each participant the opportunity to present some work and learn from the work of others
• Introduce the current thinking and practice of TCCR
Course structure
The courses are geared to the particular groups' needs, but will include:
- Lectures, papers and discussions of fundamental and current thinking and developments in the field given by TCCR staff
- An in-depth look at key concepts in developing work with couples
- Work discussion seminars led by senior staff members giving each participant the opportunity for a clinical case presentation and learning from the work of others

Video presentations and a theatre visit showing a play that highlights couple issues
